Fender Expands Acoustasonic Line

Fender continued its expansion of the Acoustasonic series with the launch of the Acoustasonic Player Telecaster guitar. As the latest addition to the line, the Acoustasonic Player Telecaster embodies the spirit of ambitious innovation that Fender was built on over 75 years ago, stated the company. Combining acoustic and electric tones with legendary Fender feel, it is a powerful tool for guitar players from the studio to the stage.
After five years of planning, building and refining the model, the Acoustasonic Player Telecaster is designed to inspire and invoke creativity like its American-made predecessor. With a simplified set of features consisting of a 3-way Voice Selector and one powerful Blend Knob, it is Fender’s most streamlined hybrid model yet. A powerful pickup system designed in collaboration with Fishman allows players to flip seamlessly between big electric tones and iconic acoustic voicings, while the fully hollow, naturally-resonant Telecaster body offers rich acoustic warmth when unplugged.

“Through the success of our American Acoustasonic series, we saw that the modern musician demands flexibility and efficiency in their creative pursuits,” said Billy Martinez, Fender VP Category Manager, Acoustic and Squier Division. “Our dedication to expanding our Acoustasonic platform allowed us to meet this demand and, at the same time, create more accessibility. With iconic acoustic voicings, big electric tones and one powerful blend knob, the Acoustasonic Player Telecaster® rises above artists demands allowing the player to go from acoustic to electric with ease in our new all-in-one guitar.”
