Hal Leonard Adds ABBA, Adele and Taylor Swift to the Holiday Wish List
Retailers with a holiday wish list can look no further than Hal Leonard, which is printing new songbooks that will undoubtedly be on the Christmas lists of many musicians!
ABBA: Voyage is the matching folio to this legendary Swedish group’s first album in nearly 40 years. Voyage debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart (its highest album chart position ever!) and features ten tracks, including the first two singles “I Still Have Faith in You” and “Just a Notion.” The Hal Leonard songbook is arranged for piano and voice with guitar chord frames.
Adele released her first album in six years to huge fanfare from around the world! Adele: 30 features twelve tracks including the initial single “Easy on Me” which has already spent four weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Hal Leonard will be releasing piano/vocal/guitar and easy piano matching folios that include all the tracks from the album initially with more editions to follow.
Taylor Swift continued her unprecedented string of album releases with her fourth release in the last two years. Red (Taylor’s Version) is her re-recording of the classic 2012 album featuring “from the vault” additional songs as well as an epic 10-minute version of the fan-favorite “All Too Well.” Immediately upon release, Red (Taylor’s Version) smashed records, including the most-streamed album in one day. Hal Leonard will be releasing piano/vocal/guitar and easy piano matching folios that include all the tracks from the album.
Ed Sheeran scored his fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with Equals (=), which was released on October 29. Featuring 14 tracks reflecting what he calls his “coming of age” record, the matching Hal Leonard songbooks feature all the tracks arranged for piano/vocal/guitar and easy piano.
“It’s exciting to have this many big ‘print friendly’ releases right before the busiest sales time of the year. Piano and guitar players will both be excited to play these tunes,” said Hal Leonard’s Executive Vice President Jeff Schroedl. “Our editorial teams across the globe worked together to make sure these titles got to print as quickly as possible so stores can have them in stock before the holidays.”
