Royalton Music Co-Founder Passes Away

Ida Eleck, co-founder of Ohio’s Royalton Music Center passed away on Nov. 20. She was 91.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I am sharing the passing of my dear grandmother, and co-founder of Royalton Music Center,” wrote Lauren Amanfoh, Eleck’s granddaughter and current owner of Royalton Music. “Nana was the ultimate superwoman – she raised a family, was an amazing host and cook, and ran the business…all while raising me and being fabulous at the same time! She was the matriarch who set the bar HIGH, and her praise was always my favorite to earn. I will miss her dearly, but am thankful for the many years of wisdom, joy, and guidance we were blessed to share with her.”

Ida and Dick founded Royalton Music Center in 1964 and later opened Brecksville Music Shoppe. Services will take place on Nov. 27.
