David Jewell, a legendary MI figure, announced on multiple social media channels that Jan. 28 was his last day at Yamaha Corp. of America. He last served as Yamaha’s partnership and alliances manager.

“Today is my last day at Yamaha Corporation of America after 24 years and four months. I am incredibly thankful to Yamaha for taking a chance on me and to Frank Milano at Milano Music, who hired me almost 40 years ago to get into this crazy and rewarding business. Now onto the ‘Next Adventure!!!’” Jewell wrote on Facebook and LinkedIn.

Several members of the MI community congratulated Jewell, who was also involved in many charitable measures and a mainstay at NAMM’s Advocacy Fly-In in Washington, D.C.
