The National Association of School Music Dealers (NASMD) annual convention will return from March 30 to April 2 at the Starr Pass Resort in Tucson, Ariz. Please see a letter from NASMD president Whitney Grisaffi below:
“The board and I are so excited to welcome you to the beautiful Starr Pass Resort in Tucson, Arizona. I hope you have made your hotel reservations and registered for the convention. If not, now is the time to do it!
We have a great lineup planned and a full schedule. CJ Averwater and the whole board have worked hard on this program for everyone’s benefit. You’ll want to bring plenty of team members so you can divide up and get the most from every session! As always, we have specific topics to address some of your more particular educational needs. We know all attendees will have plenty of choices that will be relevant to them. Watch your emails for more information on the schedule.
But wait, there’s more! Every morning on the Salud Terrace, the hotel offers a free traditional Native American ceremony and a unique Sonoran Desert experience. There are many hiking trails on the property and plenty of local sites to see Saturday afternoon. It’s always fun to explore the area when traveling. We urge new members and first-time attendees to arrive early enough to attend the new member orientation reception starting at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, March 30. Everyone is encouraged to sign up for the Meet to Eat event Thursday evening (register onsite). These and other networking opportunities give attendees a chance to spend some quality time with each other. The better we know one another, the better we are at promoting music!
I’ve missed seeing everyone and look forward to greeting you March 30 – April 2, 2022, in Tucson, Arizona.”
